Know locally as the former front man for the band Plastic Eddie, Quintin Berry is the "Q" of Q-Bass. A self-taught bassist, singer and songwriter who began performing at the age of twelve, Quintin learned to play primarily by listening, watching and exploring. Having played with performers ranging from Peabo Bryson, to Motorhead, to Jaco Pastorius, Q is versed in a wide spectrum of musical styles. Over the past year, Quintin had the opportunity to jam with TM Stevens and bassits Will Lee, Bill Dickens, George Clinton, and Fishbone, all at various NAMM trade shows throughout the country. He also graced the stage with Dennis Chambers at his Alpha Music drum .Quintin has been in the 2002 july,august issue of bassplayer mag in aspectorbass ad.

Quintin was named Bass Player of the Year for the years 2000 and 2001 by 9-Volt Magazine, and has also been mentioned in national music trade publications. Q respresented KORG at the Los Angeles NAMM 2003, and recently picked up sponsorship from Spector Bass,andVibro-Tek.   Quintin has released three solo cds, the improvisational Top of My Head (available from MP3.com), the funk and jazz oriented Like Father Like Son, and Cosmic Player,/Living good. He has just completed a new smooth jazz cd entitled Grooven Down the Road. Q has also played with Jack Knight's band, The Craft, and he co-wrote several songs on Knight's most recent album. Look for Q in a recently released instructional video with Greg Errico, the drummer from Sly and the Family Stone.
